Decipher at BayCon 2000

WELCOME TO BAYCON!
This year's Bay Area Science Fiction Writer's Convention is going to be the home of Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG. For the first time in BayCon history, the place is going to rock with some serious Decipher action!
This special segment of the Alderaan Express is your guide to the Star Wars and Young Jedi action featured at this year's BayCon. Here you'll be able to get hotel information, the tournament schedule for the entire convention and other fun stuff to do at BayCon.

DECIPHER GAMING ACTION AT BAYCON...
BayCon is loaded with all sorts of Decipher CCG goodness. Here's what's in store for you at BayCon this year!
Friday, May 26th-
12:00pm- 5:00pm: Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG demos. Come and see this great game in action, learn to play and get cool posters and other free stuff.

Saturday, May 27th-
12:00pm- 8:00pm: Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG demos. Come and see this great game in action, learn to play and get cool posters and other free stuff.
11:00am- 2:00pm: Austin Powers CCG Sealed Deck Tournament. All materials will
be provided (one starter deck and two boosters per player). The entrance fee is FREE, but there's a twelve player limit (first come, first served).
11:00am- 2:00pm: Young Jedi CCG Sealed Deck Tournament. All materials will be provided (one Menace Of Darth Maul starter deck and two MoDM boosters per Player). The entrance fee is FREE, but there's a twelve player limit (first come, first served).
3:00pm- 9:00pm: Star Wars CCG Constructed Deck Tournament. The entrance fee is FREE and there's no player limit. Come and have fun!

Sunday, May 28th-
12:00pm- 8:00pm: Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG demos. Come and see this great game in action, learn to play and get cool posters and other free stuff.
11:00am- 2:00pm: Young Jedi Wars CCG Constructed Deck Tournament. The entrance fee is FREE and there's no player limit. Come and have fun!
11:00am- 3:00pm: Star Trek CCG Sealed Deck Tournament. All materials will be provided (one Premier Unlimited starter deck and four Premier Unlimited booster packs per player). The entrance fee is FREE, but there's a twelve player limit (first come, first served).
3:00pm- 7:00pm: Star Wars CCG Sealed Deck Tournament. All materials will be provided (one Special Edition starter deck, two Cloud City booster and two Jabba's Palace booster packs per player). The entrance fee is FREE, but there's a twelve player limit (first come, first served).

Monday, May 29th-
12:00pm- 3:00pm: Star Wars and Young Jedi CCG demos. Come and see this great game in action, learn to play and get cool posters and other free stuff.
12:00pm- 3:00pm: Young Jedi Wars CCG Sealed Deck Tournament. All materials will be provided (one Jedi Council starter deck and two Jedi Council boosters per Player). The entrance fee is FREE, but there's a twelve player limit (first come, first served).

BAYCON INFO...
BayCon is located in the DoubleTree Hotel near the San Jose Airport. It's located on Gateway Place (2050 Gateway to be exact) at the intersection of Technology Dr. with it's back to Highway 101. For more in depth information, check out the BayCon website!
While the tournaments themselves are free, you'll still have to pay money to get into the convention itself. Here are the rates:
All access, all days: $70
All access, Friday: $30
All access, Saturday: $40
All access, Sunday: $35
All access, Monday: $25

STUFF TO DO AT BAYCON...
The tournaments aren't the only thing that's going at BayCon. Here are some of the other cool things that are going on at BayCon:

NEON CITY cyberpunk LARP: Neon City is the official BayCon 2000 LARP (Live Action Role-Playing game). Players can create characters from a wide variety of backgrounds within the cyberpunk genre -- fixers, corporate executives, government agents, bodyguards, lobbyists, terrorists, netrunners, reporters and gangers.
Casino Night: Friday night, there'll be a Casino; and not just an ordinary Casino but a 1920's speakeasy. The speakeasycomes complete with action, adventure and fun for all. One side of theroom will host our Casino, the other side will host our swing dance. Proceeds from the Casino will go to this year's charity, Friends of the California Air & Space Center.
Blade Runner Masked Ball: Saturday night at BayCon 2000, we'll have our traditional Masquerade Ball and Dance. The theme this year for the Masquerade Ball at BayCon is the futuristic vision of Blade Runner. The dark future lit only by neon light, replacants running lose, 1940's styled cops, all rolled up in an oriental techno flavor. Before and after the parade of costumes, there will be dancing to popular music of the past and present. All those attending are invited to join.
Drive-In Movies: Saturday and Sunday starting around 8:00pm, or when the sun goes down: the perfect time for all of you vampires, ghosts, goblins and the attendees of Baycon to roam the earth, or hotel. Saturday evening we will be featuring shorts from Disney, Bugs Bunny & friends, some Marx Brothers, and my favorite Abbot and Costello. Sunday night get ready for Ming the Merciless, the gorgeous Dale Ardin, and the strapping hunk of a man Flash Gordon in the 1980's classic "Flash Gordon". Yes, this is the one with the Queen soundtrack.
BOFFER WARS: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Whack the heck out of your opponents with custom made lightweight padded weapons! The Knights of Chaos, formed in January 1998, will be bringing as many as sixty weapon designs reflecting Oriental, European, African, Mid-Eastern, Native American and other unusual creations - such as full-sized Bat'leths and Leaf-bladed Elven-shields!

Now that you're her at BayCon, you'll probably want to know where you can go to stay the night. For your convenience, I've listed a few nice hotels that you might be able to stay at. Here they are:

Decipher has the finest group of volunteers operating it's events here at BayCon. Let's meet them:
