This is a deck I constructed oh so many years ago when I first started playing...  Well, at least the concept has been around that long.
Yes, it's gone through evolutions and mutations as one expansion after another comes out.  It's always worked for me because I'm just so comfortable with it.
Weather or not it's capable of fending off the many nuances of Special Edition, I'm not entirely sure.  It has it's strong point against many of the more popular styles that now exist in todays tournament scene...
For Instance, I can start with Tatooine and The Planet That It's Farthest From against Operative decks...  The Senses and Revolutions help me against Hunt and ISB decks (Imagine me Revolving your Coruscant first turn against your ISB deck...  Better come up with a back up plan (or find more locations quick!)).  Don't Forget The Droids and Schocking Info helps against not so common anymore Numbers and Scanner decks.
Mains & Toys isn't for everyone.  Not many have the Cards this deck asks for.  But, like I said, it's worked for me for many years...  I like it.

Bothan Regenerator
Deck Design by: Tom Thigpen
Strategy by: Tom Thigpen
Editorial by: Carl 'Mike' Hardy, FL Red 32
Date: 1999
Locations (5)-
  Death Star: Docking Bay 327
  Death Star: Trash Compactor
  Yavin 4: Docking Bay
  Yavin 4: War Room
  Tatooine: Obi's Hut

Characters (18)-
  Bothan Spy x15
  Obi-Wan Kenobi
  Luke Skywalker
  Princess Organa

Weapons (3)-
   Obi-Wan's Lightsaber
  Anakin's Lightsaber
  Jedi Lightsaber

Vehicles (4)-
  Lift Tube x4

Effects (30)-
  Undercover x15
  Death Star Plans x15

The lift tubes are in their for their destiny 6's and to move the bothan spies around a lot quicker.  The game takes a while, considering all you do is Force drain with Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan's Lightsaber at the hut, and Princess Organa at the war room holding a jedi lightsaber.  Use the bothan spies/undercovers to block all their drains.  Keep playing Death Star plans on an undercover Bothan Spy. This way they cant fight him, and he can keep retrieving tons of Force for you.
Total drain for you (counting the docking bays and the trash compactor) = 6.  With Luke and Obi at his hut and their lightsabers (2),  the Princess at the war room with a Jedi Lightsaber (1), Yavin 4 Docking  Bay (1), Death Star Docking Bay (1), Trash Compactor (1), not much of a  total Force drain potential, but theirs will be none, unless they play space..
Then you can always add a few X-Wings/Landing Claws, in case, and pack a few senses in case of "Shut Him Up or Shut Him Down", (it cancels Death Star Plans). So you have to watch out for that.
It will probably be hard for most people to get that many Bothan Spies, Undercovers and Death Star Plans, but it's not a deck to go to a tournament with anyway.
Other things to watch out for is Secret Plans and Come Here You Big Coward.  Chances are you'll never get to regenerate enough because these two cards will hinder your progress.

Interrupts (15)-
  Local Defence x5
  The Signal x3
  Nar Shadda Windchimes x2
  Cloud City Sabbac x5

I chose to play this deck on Cloud City mainly as a defence against Dark Deal...  As long as you maintain an early and permanent presence at Bespin: Cloud City, you won't have to worry about the Dark hitting you with the Deal of Darkness...
The KEY is Manuever Flaps!  With that card your Cloud Cars are each power 4 (5 in the clouds) and forfiet 5!!!  With that kind of power, the Dark won't even bother with you at the Cloud City exterior sites...  Heaven help him if he's got sites like the Dowtown Plaza and Porttown District....  Even with Trooper Assault, you should have the upper hand!
I like Devaronian's because their power 3 on Cloud City...  Their also pilots for the Cars and they can play Sabbac pretty well.  Goo Nee Tay with the H'Nemthe will keep Vader at bay for a while, so, you can set up your forces.  Additionally, you can send both to the Barganing Table to cancel a drain!  How elegantly simple...
All in all this deck uses 4 rares total...  Which is extremely cheap...  Considering it's impact potential!

Objectives (1)-
  Local Uprising/ Liberation

This is a veriation of the B&B deck that I have posted above.
It's intent is to directly oppose Ralltiir Operations decks.  It's also very effective against other ground decks...  Provided they go to exterior locaitons.
By starting with Ralltirr and the Farm, you'll be able to generate a decent amount of Force right off the bat.  Try to get your oblective flipped as early as possible.
Your vehicles will be extremely tough with Maneuver Flaps on the table...  By deploying an ASP droid to a location, you can then swamp the site with loads of high power vehicles at minus 1 deploy.  Incom Engineers add 2 to your battle destiny where you have a speeder.
It's designed to strike fast and hard, and drain for a lot.  However, be careful that your opponent doesn't hit you with a surprise Monnock...  Deploy what you need to to keep your Monnock profile down.  Also, be careful that your Manuever Flaps isn't Altered away...  Manuever Flaps is KEY!  If you feel you play in an area that uses a lot of S,A,C, adjust your deck accordingly...  Maybe add another Manuever Flaps;  Add some Controls;  Anything to keep that card on the table.
Without many rare card requirements, it's quite easy to build without a lot of money, either.

Jedi Tests (1)-
  Great Warrior

Objectives (1)-
Mind What You Have Learned/ Save You It Can

This is a deck I've heard about through various channels.  So, I figured I'd keep you informed by posting a variant of it here.
Essentially, it uses Mind What You Have Learned to help get Jedi Test 1 (Great Warrior) in effect as soon as possible.  Then it attacks you with EPP Main Characters and high power starships.
With MWYHL in place, it is difficult for the Dark Side to use S,A,C.  Also, with Yoda at his Hut, the Dark Side's ability to cause attrition is reduced by 2.  Finally, Boshek trained to be a Great Warrior cancels all of the Dark's Force drain bonuses...  This cripples Operatives, and ISB strategies.
The use of Main characters (EPP's and the like) and tough starships (Millenium Falcon, Spiral), the Light Side can, essetnially, "bring the smack" to the Dark Side.
Things to be aware of when playing this deck are:
   *  MWYHL makes it hard for the Dark Side to draw Sense and Alter.  The same goes for you.  Yoda does make it easier...  But, not by much.  Be careful that you might not be able to stop some of his strategies.
  *  Early and heavy Force loss (Visage from a Hunt Deck, Early Force drains from Kashyyyk, ect), could cause you to lose too many important cards too early.
  *  There are now easier ways for the Dark Side to get to Dagobah...  He may exact a heavy beating on the Jedi Master and his apprentice.

Objectives (1)-
You Can Either Profit By This/ Or Be Destroyed

This deck is based off of two very popular strategies that you'll find today, Profit and Harvest.
It's rather straight forward in it's design and application.  By starting with Uh-Oh and later using the Audience Chamber game text to grab Bo Shuda, you can keep the Audience Chamber (and Han) relatively safe from a Dark Side beatdown.  Slapping down OTE later will make the DS think twice about sticking around the AC as well.  Once the AC is vacated, you can spring Han at your leisure (retriveing yourself an easy 10 Force).
Once Han's free, you can Force drain on Tatooine.  Tessek and The H'nemthes will give you a plus one to the drain.  The speeders and Maneuver Flaps give you some stronger back up and offer a cozy (Bubo free) place for Owen and Beru to do a little Harvesting for you.
Toy with it to you taste.

"When Ozzel costs 2 to get out, and Igar costs more than his ride (Tempest1), thats just morally wrong."  - Kevin Shannon
Thats the whole idea behind the deck.  Activate for a lot more than your opponent is, and make them pay twice as much for their stuff.  When they are finally able to deploy, beat them down.
Against Hunt Down, use the spies to cancel Visage.  Wait until you have at least one of the anti-dueling cards in hand before you deploy Obi or Luke.  Use all your other characters to keep Vader company until that time comes.
When facing Raltiir Operations, you'll have a huge force advantage early in the game, take advantage of that.  Get your Hy'mneth's out ASAP and protect them with Mains.

  Rebel Strike Team/ Garrison Destroyed

This deck is designed specifically for the new Battle Of Endor Closed Tournament format.  You notice that there are cards found only in the Endor and Death Star II expansion (with a couple of cards found from the DS2 pre-constructed deck...  Legal utility cards from other expansions).
It's designed to quickly destroy the Endor Shield while developing a strong space force at Endor.  If your opponent tries to play with the Death Star II, you'll be able to blow it away with Lando and Gold Squadron 1 reletively easily.
Once the shield is gone and you've flipped your objective, you can now Force drain at your leasure on Endor.  There's plenty of nice cards in here that will give the Dark a real head ache if it tries to battle you on the ground.  If he doesn't, This Is Absolutely Right, Wookie Guide and Corporal Midge will really start to take their toll.
Concentrate on blowing away the shield before you do anything.  That 8 Force lose will really hurt.
     Enjoy!
